Mom pulled weeds then we went to Wamego to the Oz Museum. Wamego is about 40 minutes southwest of Topeka. To get to Wamego went went through the Flint Hills.

After the Oz Museum we went to On The Border for lunch/dinner. Here is the beer bottle light and the Live Guacamole that was our favorite at this restaurant.

Day 11
Today we went to a Memorial Day Service at the Foster Cemetery.

There was a color guard from Washburn Rural High School. A man played taps. The Cemetery Board President conducted the program and told a little about the cemetery. A local minister prayed and shared a few words. A young girl read two Memorial Day poems she had written.

A local television station put the event on the evening news.

There was a good attendance. This was the first time the cemetery had a Memorial Day Service.

It was a beautiful day and the refreshments were good too.
